Centerhouse Premiere

April 27th, 2010

The Centerhouse Premiere, this past Saturday night, attracted well over 300 guests to this grand opening celebration. A great time was had by all with a delicious dinner served as well as a time of reflection on the project. The night featured a classic Firwood skit “Spike and Melvin” performed by Jon Congo [Kabuki] and Jon Hansen [Gonzo] and a special appearance by Captain Mini Shorts – Craig Timmer [Teva].

Tom Beaumont and Rob Lee also shared about the project and recognized the many people that were involved. One of the highlights was a standing ovation for Doug Walker, Firwood’s project manager for the Centerhouse.

The Firs Council Meeting

This past Saturday, the Centerhouse hosted The Firs Council Meeting. This is an annual meeting that brings together friends and supporters of The Firs. There were around 110 people who attended and lots was accomplished. Check out these pictures of the event.

Nearing Completion

Centerhouse At Night

Check out some pictures of the Centerhouse all lit up at night. We also conducted a speaker test to see what the acoustic are like. The building is really coming together now, only a few more weeks and it should be all finished!

Kitchen Equipment

Check out the new kitchen in the Firwood Centerhouse. Also pictures of the bathrooms and the wainscoting going up around the perimeter. A big thanks to Doug Walker and Bob Lee for all their hard work in installing the wainscoting. Thanks guys!

Progress Update #22

February 4th, 2010

Time lapse of the crew pouring 35 cubic yards of concrete floor in the main part of the Centerhouse. This week, they are continuing with making expansion cuts and sealing the floor. The crew is also hard at work hanging cabinets and installing kitchen equipment. As we near completion, continue to keep the Centerhouse in your prayers.
