Digging!
Wednesday, May 13th, 2009
The Firwood Centerhouse Project is underway! Preparations for the Earth Works stage have begun which include putting up silt fences at the Corral to receive fill. Scott Electric is on the site today hooking up the temporary power service for the project. We have an appointment to get the power transformer set on Friday. More equipment has been moved on site including a dump truck, a bulldozer and another excavator. Below the skate ramps, Pearson Construction has brought in a work trailer and storage unit. Check out the video and gallery for a more in depth look at the progress.

Moving In
Friday, May 8th, 2009
This past week has brought a construction trailer, forklift and temporary fencing to the site. Last Saturday, we were able to do some clean up and remove the sign at the top of the hill at the annual Firwood Work Day. We wait patiently for the Lake Whatcom Watershed and Whatcom County officials to give their go ahead. In the meantime, we are taking this opportunity to line up all the finances which should be finished shortly.

Ground Disturbance Permit
Tuesday, May 5th, 2009
On Monday, we received a Ground Disturbance Permit to begin the Earth Works stage of the project. There are a few more meetings and hoops to jump through, but it is looking like we will be able to get underway shortly. Please be praying that these final steps can be completed for us to start moving dirt.
