Progress Update #5

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

Concrete has been poured! Yesterday the crew poured the concrete for the footings of all the exterior walls. The next step is to strip all of the forms and start forming the walls so that they can be poured. Camp has started and generated a lot of interest from campers and parents alike. Please continue to pray for safety on the site as the work keeps chugging along. Check out this time lapse video of the past week or so of work on the project.

Forms

Monday, June 15th, 2009

Today the crew starting building the forms for the foundation for the basement walls. They also continued excavating near the parking lot and kitchen corner of the building. If the forms keep going along as planned, hopefully we will be able to start pouring concrete early next week.

We have received our building permit and have started full steam ahead with digging for the foundation. The area by the sign has been flattened for the new parking area. Down below, the crew is removing fill in order to prep for foundation forms. Watch the video and check out the photo gallery for more info. Check back often for more updates as well.

Progress Update #2

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

This past week has brought a flurry of action as the services [water, sewer and power] have been accessed to connect to the building site. This has meant digging up the road and regrading it. We should have word that we received our building permit either today or tomorrow. All of the financing is in place, so we are all geared up for the building stage of the project. The next step is to start excavating for the foundation. Thank you for all your prayers and support so far, keep them up as we continue on!
